Antipas, King of Galilee at the time of Jesus' crucifixion. First Published
in Quadrant, 2003.
- Captive
in Fairyland: The Strange Case of Robert Kirk of Aberfoyle:
This is about the 18th Century Pastor and writer the Rev. Robert Kirk and
his mysterious dealings with the other world. I presented this at the
International Celtic Conference at Sydney University in 2001.
- The
Shakespeare Mystery: This article is about conspiracy theories about
Shakespeare's authorship. A version of this article was published in
the Sydney Morning Herald in 2000.

Remembering the
Vendee: The fact that the Vendée revolt was a popular one called into question
the very nature of the Revolution, with its middle-class and aristocratic leaders. Only
very recently has the Republic of France begun to acknowledge the horrors of what can be
seen as perhaps the first modern genocide.
