NUNDLE

HILLS OF GOLD

Nundle is located near the headwaters of the Peel River, about 60 kilometres south east of Tamworth and is the southern gateway to the Fossickers Way. There is lots to see and do around Nundle. The area around Nundle is very scenic, ranging from lush river valleys to the heights of the Great Dividing Range at Hanging Rock. The Nundle, Hanging Rock and Bowling Alley Point areas were closely associated with the gold rush era of the 1850's and fossickers today can still look for gold and other precious stones with a reasonable chance of success.
