Dress uniform consists of: White shirt, blue bow tie, black pants/ skirt, black socks/ stockings and black shoes. Appropriate clothing is in stock and may be purchased from Alison Lavender for a nominal amount.

The structure of the Band comprises the following groups: Training Concert Band - Group for beginners and younger players. Main Concert Band - Group for advanced players.

Practice times are as follows:- Main Concert Band: Monday nights commencing 7.00 pm at Ross Hill School Hall. Training Band: Thursday afternoon 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm Ross Hill School Hall.

Inquiries about Band Membership can be made to the Secretary, Phone 02 6722 1739, or the President, phone 02 6722 3820 (after hours).

An intending member with previous training and experience will be assessed by audition by the Music Directors and placed into what is considered an appropriate band in relation to their experience and proficiency.

Members do not gain automatic promotion into the Senior Band. It is only granted to those members who, through regular attendance to practices and improvement in playing ability, have demonstrated their readiness for promotion. A vacancy must also exist in the Main Band. The audition is by the Music Directors assessment only.

Regular attendance at practices and performances is essential if the Band is to maintain a steady rate of improvement.

Since the Band participates in many Civic functions and cultural activities in the Inverell community, a high standard of behaviour and appearance is expected at all times. For members to attend, full Casual or Dress Uniform - as directed, must be worn at all performances.

The Band is supported financially by public donations and support from local organisations and fundraising activities. Your support with these fundraising activities will assist the Band greatly. Occasionally social activities are organised by the Band and the Committee and play a part in bringing the Band's families closer together.
