The Lady of Flowers

This is Book Two  of the Lay Lines Trilogy, of which Knight by the Pool was the first. In this novel, the beautiful poet Marie de France, lover of the famed prince, Richard the Lionheart, must travel to Wales to free her faithful serving-knight, Sir Llew ap Gruffydd, from a spell which has seen him transformed into a swan. But events and people seem to conspire against Marie's keeping her promise. When she begins dreaming of a mysterious Lady of the Flowers, it seems that the Otherworld itself is involved in the knight's fate. And, at Salisbury, where she is visiting Richard's mother, the great Queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Marie starts to understand that nothing and no-one in her life are quite what they seem.
